I just got a few more pictures of Adam working up North - these are from a site near Fort St. John, BC.

Brutis' First Birthday
Okay Brutis' birthday is not acutally until Saturday December 2, but we are going to be away all weekend, so we 'celebrated' this weekend. (Celebrated - okay - I sang Happy Birthday to him and we gave him a few little gifts)
We gave him a new winter jacket - he was not too keen on wearing it at first, but soon he was okay - I am sure he will enjoy having it on these super cold days. We also gave him a new toy bone to play with - I am not a terrible Mom - I know clothes suck as a birthday gift - you have to have at least one toy in there too.

The Mercer Christmas Party
The First Christmas Party of the Season for us this year was at our friends Starr and Cory Mercer's house. We had a great time, seeing friends, meeting new friends, eating and celebrating!
Starr did an amazing job getting the house ready for the party and the Christmas season. (The food was amazing as well.)

Christmas Tree
The time has finally come....
This Saturday we put up the Christmas tree. Oh I know not everyone is as exxcited as I am every year to put up the tree, but I absolutly love to have the tree up.
Brutis did pretty well with it, we though he might bark at it, but no. Instead he realized it was fun to hit the Christmas balls the hang on the bottom of the tree with his nose. You see they sometimes fall on the ground - and that is fun. He also really likes the tree skirt, I guess it is a good spont to hide a bone or two....

Adam at Work
Adam got a chance to go out to a lease site and help out with an install while up in Grande Prairie.
He got pickup up from the hotel this morning at 5:30 am then drove 2 hours to the lease in order to install a tubing head. The job itself took approximately 2 1/2 hours.

Adam is the one in the blue jacket.
Weather conditions in Grande Prairie this morning: -24 C.
One of our Wood Group trucks.
He got a chance to help cut and grind the casing and has now broken in his new boots. (Okay - he got really dirty - his nice ankle high steel toe boots just do not cut it when you are dealing with knee high mud).
He got so dirty that the only place they could go for lunch was the Husky truck stop. Oh well - now he knows for next time what kind of gear he will need.

Brutis and Izzy
Welcome to our Blog
Welcome to our Blog! I thought this would be the easiest way to keep everyone up to date on our fast paced lives.
Things are moving along quickly, I am 24 weeks right now (5 1/2 months) and really starting to show. So far things have gone quite well, no pain, nausea is gone, food aversions- not bad, cravings - chocolate has become my new favourite friend. All in all, things are good - I can't complain.
Adam is doing well at his new job - this week they have sent him to Grande Prairie to one of our field service shops. He is there to learn more hands on, see the product get put together and go out on installs with the service hands.
