My Birthday

This year we celebrated my thirtieth. I am lucky to have my birthday usually fall on the Easter weekend, and since we were out in Canmore a cake was produced, but Jackie was already in bed by the time the candles were lit, and the song was sung.

Since "Happy Birthday" is currently her favourite song in the whole world, and I think it is important for her to see other people having birthdays - not just her - oh and she LOVES cake, Adam picked up a small cake for me when we came home.

We sang Happy Birthday - or Hapy Birday as Jackie says, and enjoyed a yummy piece of cake.

Most people talk about hitting certain milestones with a great sense of dread, but this milestone for me was a good one. I am very happy with where I am right now in life, I have a wonderful husband and 2 beautiful great kids, we are all healthy and we have lots of friends and family around us - what more could I ask for?

Easter Egg Hunt

This year we did a Easter egg hunt for Jackie. Adam took her to the park while Grandma and I "hit" the eggs - well as hidden as you want them for a 2 year old. She caught on quite quickly and loved finding them.

At the very end we sat her down and told her to open the eggs - she was thrilled to discover they had stuff inside - and even more thrilled to discover it is chocolate.

I love being able to create these memories for her - I know she will not remember her first egg hunt, but I know she will look back and remember eggs hunts as a child.

Easter

This year we spend Easter long weekend out at Grandma and Grandpa's place in Canmore. We had a great time and enjoyed the company.

Starting Solids

Already Anderson is old enough to start eating his rice cereal. I appologize in advance to him for putting him in a bib with a flower on it - at least it is not pink!

Aggie Days

Adam took Jackie down to Aggie Days at the Round Up Centre this year. Jackie was a little overwhelmed by all the people and not quite sure what to make of all the animals. Her favourite was the bunnies.

I love this picture - it looks like she is having quite the conversation with this dog.

She looks thrilled, doesn't she - this was at the end and I think she was more than ready to head for home.
